Job Summary
KBACE is seeking bright, diligent people to join our DBA consulting organization at a Senior level.  Candidates will be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience with Oracle Applications Installations, database upgrades, application upgrades and exposure to fusion middleware
  • Experience in handling 24/7 production support customers and implementation support
  • Experience with a blended on and offsite delivery model
  • Experience mentoring junior to mid level consultants
  • Experiencing working with customers directly
  • Perform day to day routine tasks in shifts
  • Monitor day to day delivery aspects in shifts and assist team members
  • Develop and implement proactive monitoring methods
  • Review and develop check lists for various tasks
  • Ensure that tickets are delivered on-time
  • Update / review of solution repository documents
  • Conduct internal trainings on various dba related topics
  • Quality checks for tasks performed by junior team members
  • Effort estimates for major tasks such as patching, database / application upgrades
  • Ability to own and drive major tasks independently along with team members
  • Regular review of various client document repositories and maintain up-to-date documentation
  • Adhere to best practices and documentation
  • Interact closely with  team members and assist them as on when needed
  • Provide statuses and issue reports to on and offshore / onsite reporting manager on a regular basis
  • Coordination of regular client calls either daily or weekly
  • Monitor shift transition and follow-ups
  • Follow-up on tickets and tasks with customers on daily basis
  • Preparation of client specific reports for client calls on weekly or daily basis
  • Ability to asses people and interview skills
  • Availability to team members when in need
  • Bachelors Degree-Engineering /Tech/ Masters in computer applications (MCA);
  • 5-7 years experience with Oracle Apps DBA and Core DBA areas
  • Experience in Oracle database administration, database upgrades, backup / recovery, real application clusters, data guard (standby database), performance tuning, OEM installations. 
  • Exposure to OLTP and OLAP database configuration exposures are also preferred.
  • Experience in OEM installations and configurations
  • Experience in Ebusiness suite platform migrations
  • Experience in Oracle Applications 11i and R12 production support areas (patching, cloning, backup /recovery, troubleshooting) , workflow configurations, application upgrades, Load balancing, DMZ Configuration and Performance tuning.
  • Exposure to content server and UPK are also preferred
  • Experience in Fusion middleware areas such as Web Logic, SOA, Web center, Identity Management (IDM) Suite, Business Intelligence (BI) Suite installations and configurations
  • Experience in Linux installations / shell scripting and basic troubleshooting
  • Experience with capacity planning and hardware sizing
  • Experience in team handling would be a plus
  • Experience with a blended on and offsite delivery model and coordination
  • Experience in mentoring junior level resources
  • Experience in service delivery management and client interactions
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Willingness to work in 24/7 environments and shifts
